About the Project
"Seeking the Unknown” was directed, produced, shot, and edited by Ethan Geiger. One of the most interesting aspects of this film was being able to film inside of mission control for the launch of the Falcon 9 that took the IXPE satellite into orbit. Interestingly, there was no clapping once it got there, proving that all space movies are a lie.
There are several different cuts of this film. Originally commissioned for the University of Colorado Boulder’s College of Arts & Sciences YouTube channel, “Seeking the Unknown” has gone on to screen in several film festivals and inside of Fiske Planetarium.
